Brenda & Maria were Baptized!

This week was crazy and wonderful all at the same time. we were able to meet every single one of our goals and we had the most successful week that I have ever had. The best part of the week was Brenda and Maria's baptism! It was a beautiful baptism even though it began in a stressful way. The Elders had forgotten to fill the font and we had to stall the baptism for 30 minutes because Brenda and Maria's father was still at home showering and getting ready for the baptism. We really wanted him to be there because while we would teach the family the discussions, he never had the desire to listen so we were thrilled that he wanted to be present for his daughters baptisms. We stalled as long as we could and then we began with 2 talks and Brenda and Maria singing "I Engo Gozo en mi Alma Hoy". It was so cute! And just as Brenda was going to get baptized, her dad came. Brenda was SO excited that he came. When she was baptized, Brenda didn't even bend her knees. Instead, her feet came off the ground and she just layed in the water, all graceful and peaceful. It was really tender. Then Maria Angeles (8) got baptized as well. They were both so happy and so giggly. Brenda is only 10 and she has already read the entire Book of Mormon! Both of the girls love the gospel and were so happy to finally be members and be baptized. They were beaming all the rest of the night. It was wonderful having their father there and seeing this cute family all together. Hopefully, the father felt the spirit and will want to listen to the discussions as well. We will keep working with their family.

well i am so grateful for the wonderful emails and updates of everyones lives. over here i am so happy to say that the weather is finally chillin out a bit... (98 degrees) but now the mosquitos are out and bitting...luckily for me it seems that sister eisley has sweeter blood than i do so she usually takes it for the team and comes home with 12 more mosquito bites a day than i do... but really i have never seen anything like this! just giant swarms!

mom i sent in my scriptures and i am getting them covered so i will take a picture of them and send them to you... i bargained again :) haha i wasable to talk him down from $135 to $85! i loved it! and it was in spanish! hahaha i had to help train my companion on how to do it... sister Behrmann had never bargained before and it was quite fun!

After a lot of thought, I have come up with a new way to combat the dog situation here. I made a purchase last week of some dog bones... and let me tell you they come in handy! they have saved me from being chased, bitten, and from the yappy dogs. chuiwawas are the devil... when we are contacting people they just come up to your feet and start barking at you like crazy!!! so ... now i just give them bones and they can be quite... and the people that i teach think it is hilarious and clever so they listen more... ohhh the life of a missionary... so special.

Our senior couple is going home this week and i was talking with president and sister miller at their house when president asked how many people were in my family and how many had gone on missions. i said, "all of us except my mom". sister miller then decided that it was moms turn to serve a mission and that she should come down to Texas McAllen Mission and she and dad could be the senior couple for her and president. i thought that would be awesome too... but then i realized that when i got home from my mission my parents would stillbe stuck in my mission! and i decided against that! but mom you can have your turn soon enough!

well everyone i love you so much! thanks for the letters and love.
LOVE YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH! keep being good!
