Kissed on the Mission???

Hello family...It's been a great and trying week! I love what growth comes from serving the Lord and from relying upon Him. Even when we just aren't sure what direction He is guiding us or what the end destination is, it is just good enough to know who is guiding us.

This past week has been a little more difficult since America, who was supposed to get baptized yesterday, ran into some problems with her parents and they discouraged her baptism. After all we could do, it was best to set a new date out for a couple more weeks and we really feel that now she will take preparation for baptism more seriously and then her parents will see her example and really see how the gospel can and does change us as we allow it to. As life usually tends to do, when something goes wrong then everything else tends to follow, but Sister Call and I are looking at this as a good sign of things to come in the future as we continue to work diligently and rely upon the Lord to guide us in all things. It is amazing to see how quickly blessings already come. We have 5 wonderful people with baptismal dates but each of them have large obstacles ahead of them, so our main focus is going to be doing everything we can and more to help them progress and be baptized and make this sacred covenant with the Lord. In conference we talked a bit about opposition and trials and how without them this wouldn't be work. I am grateful for the trials that I have had throughout my life and the person that they have made me become. I am excited about these upcoming weeks, about my companionship with Sister Call. Many good things are in store for us as we push forward and seek inspiration and revelation in all that we do.

So i have to tell you this funny story. we went back to a family that we had previously dropped and as is the culture here when you handshake people goodbye you lean in and kiss them on the cheek as well... it's good.. but i am a missionary so we are not allowed to kiss the men... obviously... well i kissed christina goodbye and then her husband came up and laid one on me... hahaha i was so awkward and disturbed that when we got into the car... i turned to sister call and said in a very disturbed voice "i kissed .... sergio"... she hadnt seen it and so we laughed for days as i recounted the story... wow i have gotten a little tooo much action out here already... this is the 3rd man that has laid a wet one on my cheek :)

okay gots to go! love you all!
