Gerardo was Baptized!

Hermano Gonzales, our ward mission leader, came with us as we taught Gerardo the gospel.
Hermana Call took this pictures while I was teaching Gerardo.
Our investivator...Clarisa and her baby.

well hello family! it has been an awesome and crazy and wonderful week that has just flown by..i am going to start with yesturday and work backwards!!

Gerardo Estrella got baptized! it was so wonderful to see another one of the investigators that i have taught and loved enter into the waters of baptism.. tues was his interview and he was sooo scared but he just glowed all week and then yesturday he got baptized. it was wonderful because we have a small spanish branch here and they are all converts so they are tender because they are all kinda trying to figure out what is going on and how to run things. it is so awesome. our branch mission leader is this elderly guy.. brother gonzales, and he came out with us everyday last week and then he baptized Gerardo.. it was sooo sweet and they are just as cute as can be. Gerardo is about 48 and the skinniest person i have ever seen..he is very sickly and so when he was getting baptized hermano gonzales had to put him down real slow.... real slow... it was awesome.. Gerardo will be such a wonderful example and leader in the many years to come. I am so grateful for this work and for the Lord. He truly did prepare Gerardo to hear the message and accept it. Gerardo was so excited and so touched as he came out of the water with the biggest smile. It is amazing to see how the members have really started coming out with us more and have been excellent in sharing their testimonies. Gerardo was found because of a referral.. and so after a thousand of rejections by referrals we were able to find a diamond in the rough and the Lord led us to where we needed to be. I am so grateful for this work. It is interesting because last week was really hard, but as we continued through it and relied upon the Lord, He has poured out his blessings on us this week and directed our paths.

next... WE MOVED! our address is
110 edgewater circle
san benito tx 78586

the story behind that is we got a creeper who started calling us non stop and it just wasn't safe for us to be living where we were. so we called president and let him know. our area is kinda scary and has some unsafe places in it so he had us move in with memebers... we now live in a really nice neighborhood with brother and sister jackson.. our ward mission leader in the english ward... they are so awesome and the place that we live is really nice. i just love them and our new home... plus laundry is free :)hahaha but president had been wanting the sisters to move in with members so that we would be safer. its been a great blessing and has made it easier to do missionary work!

lets see...what else has happened! i have a funny story :) we were driving down this country road and a cemetary came up.. and we were just looking at all the tombstones... and then there was the giant building where they put the remains of all the cremated people! and i said... look its the creamery! i actually thought that was what is was called.... well we laughed for a long time after that... now everytime we pass by we say hi to the creamery!

We had a great Zone Conference this week and the Zone Leaders talked about was how we need to extend baptismal dates to EVERYONE and the only time we don't is when we feel a prompting not to. Well a few hours later we were in a lesson with two women in their twenties and they each had 4 young children running around, in and out of the house. No matter what we tried, the atmosphere was a little chaotic. We shared a scripture about baptism and when I was a little hesitant to extend a baptismal date, my wonderful companion went right in and challenged her to baptism and reminded me how I need to be bold. It was such a wonderful experience and it reminded me that I need to trust in the spirit, I need to trust in the conversion process, and I need to live my purpose and help others prepare for baptism. I was so grateful for my companion's example and how she didn't let the distractions pass up an opportunity to invite someone to be baptized.

well my time is running out! but i love you all! have a great week! I am happy, healthy & safe!Love you,
Hermana Osborne
