Blessings!

Yesenia, Barbara and Hector Lopez's Baptism!

President and Sister Miller,

This week was wonderful because after months and months of hard work and

many miracle, Yesenia, Barbara, and Hector Lopez were finally baptized. It

is amazing seeing the changes they have made in their lives and how the Lord

really has prepared them and softened their hearts. Now they are the

examples in their family to show others how to be more like Christ.

Today we had a joint companionship study with the Zone Leaders and we went

over our past goals that we had made for the area. It was neat to see the

growth of the area and the success. The families that the Lord has lead us

to and the way that they are preparing for baptism. We looked out our funnel

now in comparison to when I first got here. We talked about how a few months

ago when I had first got here we only had a few baptismal dates and we were

lucky if one person came to church every sunday. We then talked about how

now we have had 13 to 15 people at church. how families are being prepared.

how miracles are happening. How there are 10 solid baptismal dates. It is

such a testimony that it doesn't matter where you serve in the world, it

doesn't matter who you serve with. God has promised that the field is white

and all ready to harvest... and I know this is true. I have seen it first

hand and experienced the blessings of being an instrument in his hands. I

remember talking with the Sisters at the beginning of this transfer and

saying how this area really needed a three some to be here, it needed more

attention to it, and now we can see the fruit of our labor and how as we

have worked together, overcome differences and relied soley upon the Lord,

He has poured out blessings.

There are some really neat families that are preparing for baptism and

thereare wonderful ward members who help so much. I am learning more and

more each day what service really means. and i see it in the members

examples and they show me how to serve and how to become a better

disciple of Jesus Christ.

hey fam!

i am sorry about last week where my email got lost and you didn't really get

to hear from me! hopefull by now you got my little package with some journal

entries and a tape! yesturday we 15 people at church! glorious! that is the

most people I have EVER had at church and probably will ever have. it was so

great because we are teaching some really neat families. also dianna and her

family accepted to be baptized feb 14th! thats in two weeks! so we are

working really hard with them and helping them prepare for this fabulous

occasion! they are awesome and i just love teaching families!

So the final highlight of yesturday was that Yesenia, Barbara, and Hector

Lopez (Crisitina's Kids) finally got baptized! it was a wonderful day and

there was a lot of support from the ward and everyone. I am so grateful that

i have been able to be here to find them and to help teach them. it is neat

how at the beginning they wanted nothing to do with us, only antonio was the

one that was interested. now they are they ones that are active and are

fully committed to living a christlike life. it is amaazing. i just love

hector... he is the coolest little 8 year old ever! i am sending my camera

card home today and so you will be able to see pictures of these kids.. but

lets just say that hector had a mullet hair cut till he was 5.... that

should tell you something about how cool he is. anyway so i was sitting with

him at church and elder ott had just given him a new triple combination and

he was looking through the pictures in the back... when he got to the temple

i pointed to it and asked him what is was... and he looked at me and was

like..."that's God's Palace" hahaha. he really is a smart little

kid and will help his family grow alot in the gospel. Cristina couldn't get

baptized because her "husband" still didnt want to get married... so we are

working on that. it was a wonderful experience for her to watch as her

children got baptized. i love that family. they have gone through TONS of

trials right now, but they are doing great getting through them and they are

learning as they rely on the Lord. So we were at church for 12 hours

yesturday... 7 people got baptized, and we had 3 sessions of baptisms (2 in

english 1 in spanish) what a wonderful day! it has been a lot of hard work,

but we are definately seeing the fruits of our labors and some wonderful

people are being prepared to enter into baptism! LOVE IT!!!
